Audio Concepts

A selection of music created for visual media.

This includes original pieces and re-scored adverts exploring different approaches to tone, pacing and storytelling.

Each project focuses on how music can shape the feel and impact of a scene.

“The Fire, The Light” is a short, hook-driven instrumental cue designed for sync use and branding. It carries a sensual, confident energy, blending warmth and brightness to create a sense of tension and attraction.

The track is built around a sleek, modern feel — rhythmic, slightly seductive, and emotionally charged — making it ideal for short-form advertising, title sequences, or branding moments that need instant impact and attitude.

The aim is to capture contrast: heat and glow, tension and release, fire and illumination — all in a compact, memorable musical statement.

”Where it Melts” A warm, intimate composition that captures the essence of home and human connection. Built around gentle, emotive textures, it reflects the quiet, meaningful moments that draw people back to one another. Evoking a sense of comfort, familiarity, and emotional reconnection, the piece serves as a subtle yet powerful symbol of warmth and belonging. Written as a 30 and 60 second cut.

‘Whispers in the Dark’ unfolds in the stillness of midnight, where silence feels alive and every sound carries weight. Sparse, deliberate notes echo through empty spaces, like footsteps in a dim hallway under flickering light. There’s a constant sense of something just out of sight—present, but never revealed.

Tense and cinematic, the piece leans into restraint, allowing pauses and shadows to shape the atmosphere as much as the music itself. It’s a quiet, watchful descent into the unknown.

‘Neon at 3am’ drifts through a half-lit city where time feels suspended and reality starts to blur. Flickering lights hum in the distance, casting fractured reflections across empty streets and rain-slick pavement. The soundscape breathes with a quiet unease—distant echoes, low pulses, and ghostly textures that seem to move just out of reach.

Re-Scored Adverts

A cheeky, light-hearted track written as a creative re-score to a Specsavers advert. “Should’ve Seen it Coming” plays on the humour and timing of the visuals, adding a playful musical layer to the original concept. I’m a composer specialising in original instrumental music for a wide range of projects — from adverts and creative briefs to atmospheric soundscapes. Each track is crafted to enhance mood, energy, and narrative.

A reflective, emotional track written as a creative re-score to a video exploring mental health themes. “A Quiet Strength” is a piece that focuses on subtlety, space, and emotional depth, aiming to support the visuals with a sense of calm resilience.

A funky, feel-good track written as a creative re-score inspired by the Kellogg’s advert, “Always there in the Morning.” This piece is part of my ongoing work creating music tailored to picture, branding, and storytelling.

A playful track written as a creative re-score to an advert for Sudocrem. “For All Ages, All Stages” brings a light, humorous energy to the visuals, using music to enhance the charm and everyday relatability of the concept.

A warm, cinematic festive track written as a creative re-score to the 2025 Christmas advert for Boots. “Home for Christmas” focuses on emotion, nostalgia, and togetherness, aiming to complement the storytelling with a gentle, heartfelt Christmas atmosphere.
